Esta etapa será la más larga de NORDKAPP6060 con 821 kilómetros. Hay que ir ganando norte y horas diurnas. El tiempo estimado para el recorrido es de 12 horas.
Continuaré por el golfo de Vizcaya adentrándome en la Bretaña francesa con alguna parada interesante, fuera de las normales para repostar y alimentación. Por ejemplo en Brest, una plaza medieval y con profundas raíces navales. Al ser una etapa larga, no haré muchas paradas turísticas, aunque sí intentaré pasar por algunos de los numerosos lugares con menhires prehistóricos que hay por la zona.
El destino es Sant Maló, que no es casual. En mis estudios de francés, en la etapa infantil, mi profesor (un señor mayor francés muy Chauvinista) nos ponía una canción que hablaba de Sant Maló y siempre me quedó la necesidad de conocer la ciudad. Fue centro de operaciones de corsarios (piratas «legalizados» por el rey de Francia) y posee una rica y monumental historia.
Cuando haga mi resumen de la etapa te contaré más cosas del viaje y subiré fotos y vídeos… si puedo vencer al cansancio un par de horas.
This stage will be the longest in NORDKAPP6060 with 821 kilometers. I have to win north and daytime hours. The estimated time for the tour is 12 hours.
I will continue along the Bay of Biscay into French Brittany with some interesting stop, outside the normal for refueling and feeding. For example in Brest, a medieval town with deep naval roots. Being a long stage, I will not make many tourist stops, although I will try to pass through some of the many places with prehistoric menhirs in the area.
The destination is Sant Maló, which is not accidental. In my french studies, in the children’s stage, my teacher (a very old french man Chauvinist) gave us a song that talked about Sant Maló and I always had the need to know the city. It was the privateers operations center (pirates «legalized» by the king of France) and has a rich and monumental history.
